The role
You will be working collaboratively with a team of Cloud Security Engineers and oversee operations whilst remaining hands on. There will be a DevOps element to this position to adapt existing tools for Cloud systems. You will be supporting a variety of teams in automating and streamlining processes in the Cloud.
Key responsibilities
- Fostering a DevOps culture within the bank and providing assistance on implementing DevOps strategies to different areas of the company
- Ensuring the banks’ Cloud infrastructure and environments are built, secured and maintained regularly with active monitoring of cloud environments
- Giving recommendations regarding the technology stack and architecture
- Participating in design and development meetings to ensure infrastructure required is identified and actioned for new projects
- Implementing security controls to help the organisation protect customers data alongside provisioning, maintaining and monitoring of infrastructure assets on premise in global data centres and the Azure public cloud
- To be considered for this role, you will be a highly technical individual across multiple technologies within the Cloud environment. This will need to be partnered up with the ability to liaise with different teams across multiple offices. Therefore, communication skills at all levels is a must.
Skills and experience
- Experience with building AWS Cloud infrastructure is a must alongside experience with technologies like Azure Cloud, Active Directory and Azure AD
- DevOps background with experience in Site Reliability Engineering
- Solid coding experience with C#, .NET, PowerShell. Any more are a plus
- Cloud Formation experience with Terraform, Ansible or Gradle and Jenkins
- Strong experience of infrastructure, networking, security standards/practices, automation and virtualisation techs
