Leadership

John Smith

Managing Director

John joined MHC in 2013 as Managing Director to spearhead MHC’s sales and business development departments. His results driven, customer focused approach has since been pivotal in expanding the company’s global business levels and offering, while maintaining an exceptional level of on-site support to clients and strategic partners. Currently John leads a number of our key strategic accounts and is responsible for developing MHC’s key practices such as Cyber Security, Ecosystem Monitoring and Technology Infrastructure.

John began his career in IT recruitment consultancy, specialising in sourcing high level candidates for financial institutions and consultancies. Prior to him joining MHC, John acted as the Head of UK Business Development for a Frankfurt based niche consultancy Networker Projektberatung. In this role he built the firm’s offering around the search, selection and training of IT specialists required by Tier 1 Financial Services institutions across Europe, North America and APAC.

Jonathan Want

Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan joined MHC in 2009 as an Associate Director and was subsequently promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer in 2017. Jon is an experienced Project Manager and Consultant in the Financial Services industry, particularly within the Operations and IT sectors having worked on projects for both market practitioners and technology vendors within the wealth management, fund management and investment banking communities.

In his current role as CTO at MHC headquarters, Jon has overall responsibility for the management of internal IT systems. He also manages a team responsible for the MHC Insight application, including all associated research and development and implementation projects.

Our charity work

For many seriously ill babies and children, research is their only hope. That is why MHC actively supports our chosen charity of Sparks and encourages staff to take part in a whole host of activities to raise money for our company charity.

Sparks’ mission is to raise money for child health research projects across the UK, which are funded through a joint programme with GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) Charity. Together, GOSH Charity and Sparks fund more pioneering research to find new ways to diagnose, treat and cure childhood diseases.
